Grace in the Kitchen

It was dark and still inside the house, and I remember speaking quietly to Grace and her father. I remember telling them how I loved the light and how it reminded me of paintings by Vermeer and Rembrandt. Her father then told me that he had been a painter, and he led me deeper into their house, where to my surprise he pulled down a dusty stack of papers from the above the rafters, and showed me his paintings.
